Nextiva SMS empowers users and businesses by opening up an additional channel for communicating with teammates and customers from any device, anywhere.
1. Activate SMS
To activate your Nextiva business numbers for texting (SMS), click here.
2. Add SMS contacts
Create a new contact for each SMS recipient, and format the phone number to Nextiva specifications.
Click Plus (+) at the top-right corner > New Contact > under IM Address add 1+areacode+phonenumber@smsnextiva.com (e.g. 15556667777@smsnextiva.com) > Save.
3. Send and receive SMS Messages
After adding the SMS contact, send a new chat to the contact. Replies show with your other chat messages.
